Dearest Back…

Dearest Back,

I would love for you to stop hurting and causing me random bursts of pain whenever I bend down or move into a certain position. I don’t know what I did to you, but whatever it is, forgive me! It’s been 4 long days now and holding grudges is never a good thing. It hurts the soul. I just woke up from my nightly slumber and all of a sudden BAM. Back pain. Did I sleepwalk and somehow injure you? I’m trying to be civil here so please play nice. I don’t want to have to take you to the hospital… Take my words into consideration.

RAWR!!!! My lower back has been hurting a lot and I have no idea what I did to it. I might have overstretched it or something of that sort. I really hope it goes away in a few more days… otherwise off to the doctor I go! It’s funny how we don’t realize how much of one part of the body we use until it starts to hurt. I would never have known how much the lower back controls. It is a major contributor to lower body strength. When it first started hurting, my legs felt so weak and leg raises were definitely out of the question. I also can’t bend forward to touch my toes anymore because it hurts so badly. Usually I can touch the floor. What’s going on?! I find that my back feels a lot better when I’m moving around. Sitting through 1.5 hours of lecture makes me agitated and I can feel my back tensing up. I’ve had to squat to bend down to pick anything up the last couple of days. Ugh. It’s so annoying. Has anyone experienced anything like this? If so, what did you do?! I want to get back to my half-marathon training!

I used printer paper for the inner pages (116 pages), fabric I picked out at Joann’s, and then a cereal box for the cover and spine. Turned out really pretty in my opinion!
