IT Band Injury?!
So I have stopped doing Insanity because I think I messed up my IT band somehow. Probably from doing Insanity actually, but I’m not 100% sure. There’s something on the outside of my knee that feels weird and I feel it moving around a lot. It doesn’t hurt at all but it feels…loose. So I guess I’ll have to hold off on completing the Insanity course, unfortunately. I don’t want to completely injure my knees or IT band. So I’ve gone back to running! Yay! I’ve tracked about 20 miles on my Kinvara 2 now and they are absolutely fabulous. I’ve searched around the CU Club team page but they don’t seem to have a cross country club team… what. So, I think I want to join the cycling team even though I haven’t actually ridden a bicycle at a fast pace… ever. I love the fact that cycling is an individual sport but there’s always the team for support and encouragement. I’m still young, might as well take up cycling now! I’ll have to invest in a good bike but I have no idea where to begin. It’s a good thing there are a lot of bike shops around the front range/Boulder. Yesterday, the CU Rec Center posted their fitness schedule and I’m so excited to participate in those classes! Zumba, yoga, pilates, core conditioning, HIIT galore!!! Latin American Dancing is also a class that is offered and I totally want to take it. Or Hip-hop dancing… we’ll see what fits into my schedule better. Oh racketball sounds cool too… ugh! I’m so indecisive sometimes. I guess it’s better to be interested in a bunch of different sports than none at all.
Going to the Niwot Jazz Festival today to watch my friends. Excited!
