Saucony Kinvara 2

So I decided to buy the Saucony Kinvara 2 since it was on sale for around $50~ on Road Runner’s website. I took them out for a test run this evening and I felt like I was flying!! I ran 5.2 miles and my feet didn’t hurt at all. My calves were definitely feeling the heat though since these are minimalistic shoes. My legs are used to a lot of cushioning from stability running shoes. The Kinvara 2 is classified as a neutral shoe for people who don’t need that extra stability. The Saucony website describes this shoe as “Weighing at just 6.7 oz., the accolades continue to pile up for the Kinvara 2, the shoe that is defining the next generation of minimalist trainers built for everyday use. The Kinvara 2’s super light and flexible midsole is made from durable foam, and the 4mm heel-to-toe offset guarantees a close-to-the road feel. Light and breathable, the upper is made from mono-filament mesh that provides a comfortable fit and feel.” It is incredibly light and I definitely noticed it in my running speed. Hell yeah!
Once I track more miles on these shoes I’ll do a more in-depth review. Have you tried these shoes? How do you like them?
